What is The Toss?
The Toss is the inaugural 3rd Berkshire District Cornhole Classic — a free community event bringing together all 18 towns of the district for a day of friendly competition, food, music, and community connection.
The outdoor cornhole tournament will take place on the grounds of Barrington Hall in Great Barrington, while indoor activities inside the air-conditioned hall will offer space for gathering, games, conversation, food, and cooling off throughout the day.
Guests can also enjoy food trucks, Barrington Brewery beer and drinks, family activities, and a live MC/DJ. The event is rain or shine, with indoor gameplay and adjusted match schedules if weather requires.
Schedule
• Community activities & team check-in begin: 10 AM
• Tournament play begins: 11 AM
• Championship final: approx. 5 PM
Where is the event held?
The Toss will take place at Barrington Hall, formerly Crissey Farm, adjacent to Barrington Brewery at 426 Stockbridge Road in Great Barrington.
Free parking will be available on site, though carpooling and walking are encouraged.
What else will there be to do besides cornhole?
In addition to the outdoor tournament, The Toss will feature indoor activities inside Barrington Hall, including free board games, family activities, tables for gathering, and air-conditioned space to relax and cool off during the day. Guests can also enjoy food trucks, brewery drinks, and a live DJ throughout the tournament.
Do I need a ticket or registration fee to attend?
No — The Toss is free and open to the public. Spectators and participating teams are invited to enjoy the day at no cost. Voluntary contributions are appreciated to help support the event and future community programming.
How do I register for the tournament?
This year’s teams will feature first responder departments and services representing towns from across the 3rd Berkshire District. More information will be announced soon.
What is the tournament format?
The tournament will feature pool play followed by a single-elimination championship bracket. Opening games are capped at 25 minutes or 21 points.
Can I come just for the championship? When is it?
The Championship Match is expected to begin around 5:00 PM, followed by the Awards Ceremony at approximately 6:00 PM.
Is the event family friendly and ADA accessible?
Absolutely. The Toss welcomes all ages and abilities. Barrington Hall is fully ADA accessible.
